Farish Street
Entertainment District is a comprehensive development in
downtown Jackson, Mississippi that will provide good food, good
music and a quality entertainment experience for all visitors.
Construction on the Phase I part of
the development will be completed by Fall of 2010.

The Farish Street development will be a 100-year,
sustainable development that reflects the heritage not only
of Farish Street, but what also is unique and great about
Mississippi and its overall culture and heritage.
We are a state that is rich in the arts and athletics. We
are the home of the blues and great musicians (Elvis, B.B.
King, etc), great writers (Eudora Welty, William Faulkner),
great actors/entertainers (Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey and
great athletes (Deuce McAllister, Archie Manning, Jerry
Rice, Walter Peyton). Farish Street is a development that is all about celebrating this
vibrant history and heritage.
Farish Street will NOT be just a bunch of bars, or another
Bourbon Street. In fact, it will not even be "just another
Beale Street." It will be a commemoration of history,
music, writers, playwrights, musicians, actors and
athletes. It is about entertainment: good
fine, a variety of venues and choices, wholesome activities.
 The B.B. King Blue's Club is one of 12 establishments that
will be located in the Farish Street Entertainment District.
It is scheduled to open for business in the Spring of 2010.
