As a convergent law practice, W&Y recognizes
the integration of business and law. Alternative approaches
to billing facilitates that convergence.
Unlike hourly billing, alternative billing offers clients a
value-based fee structure that gives certainty and shares
risk. The inherent conflict in hourly billing is that it
encourages lawyers to bill as many hours as possible.
At W&Y, we work with clients in advance to create a fee
structure that is efficient, value-based, certain and that
rewards results. We feel that alternative billing is the
future of the legal industry and a priority at W&Y.
The Watkins & Young History

though its legal birth is May, 2004. The partnership
consists of former partners from the law firm of Adams and
Reese LLP, but has expanded its breadth beyond that of a
traditional law firm.
